Am I the only one who misses Rory Bremner desperately?
Am I the only one who thinks he should replace Andy Parsons?

c&c is love. :)

(i'd sure like to see his moobs shake.)
Just saw the sixth Harry Potter film. Verdict: Absoloutly excellent. It strongly challenges (and I believe wins) for being the best film out of the six adaptations thus far. Of course, my Mum had to be embarassing and scream loudly as the corpses rose from the water during the Horcrux cave scene, but that's Mums for you, can't take them anywhere...
On the film, thankfully, Hermionie has stopped performing eyebrow gymnastics instead of acting, and Tom Felton really stepped up to the darker role of Draco, rather then simply being comic relief, and on screen sold everything Malfoy was going through. The only weak link in the cast this time was Ginny who, with Harry, had all the on screen chemistry of a table leg.
It's worth noting that the finale of the film is much smaller then in the book. There is no auror battle, rather the death eaters come, kill Dumbledore (oops spoiler) and leave. However, this decision forces the audience to focus on the drama, rather then a firework action show and works to heighten the sense of tragedy - there were definite sniffings in the audience.
My only complaints are that the film, like the fith, is a continuation and there seems to be no strong beginning or end. A flaw that the seventh film part I is no doubt going to suffer even more. On the beginning, I could have done without the "American disaster film collapsing bridge" scene (or rather spectacle) and have Snape's unbreakable vow moved to the very beginning to set the tone instead. Also, during the film, although there were multiple oppurtunities, there was no attempt to set up the existence of the relationship between Snape and Lilly, something that needs to be done in order to make the conclusion of the seventh film credible.
However, unavoidable gripes aside, it is the best Potter movie so far.

Recently I came across the site "Comic Book DB", which has a very completed collection of comic characters, some of you might have known it already or maybe not, but I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and of course, being a die-hard fan of Cyclops as I am, I dive into the section of 616 Cyclops and squeeeee with happiness (but my wallet protests heatedly, which, of course, I adamantly ignore) because there are so many which I haven't got my hands on.
Here's the link to a Chronological Listing of Cyclops' appearances, hope it'll be useful to some of you!

That I have to become a relationship counselor for my little brother.
My brother has dated three girlfriends so far, recently he broke up with the second one and is starting a new relationship with the newest girl, who, apparently, likes him very much, has been giving him hand-written cards, poems and love notes. (I'm glad I asked him to make things clear AGAIN with his ex before entering a new relationship, cause the girl's text messages have me worried that she did not get the idea that my brother was breaking up with her, and it turns out she really didn't understand.)
Which is all good and fine with me because the process of dating is finding the most suitable significant other for yourself, but my brother has confessed to me that he feels bad about leaving his ex, who's a sweet girl but needs someone to look out for her cause she's a bit naive and timid when it comes to reality.
My little brother has some chivalry runs around in his character. I admit to him that at the moment, I like his ex more cause she's a gentle, docile and disciplined girl, even when my mom thinks my brother can do better and picks on her here and there (The usual routine is "Yeah, I know she's a good girl BUT blah blah blah..."). A little bit plain but will be good for a family life and will be a good stay-at-home mum if they ever got that far in the future; the new girl is very energetic in pursuing my brother, not that I'm completely against the idea of a girl takes the first step, but I'm an old-fashioned type and appreciate being implicit a lot more.
He seems torn and I suggest him to think things over during the week when he's away from both of the girls, which is about the best method I can come up with for him.
I'm just rambling cause I'm a bit sad that he breaks up with the girl I kind of want to protect, and I'm worrying that I won't be very open-armed with this new girl.
Oh, and my brother apparently doesn't want me to get married, he's planning to buy a big house with me, and everyone lives together happily ever after.

I can roll my Rs!! Well, sort of, it sounds less like a pleasant purr and more like a cat dying of turburculosis (turrrrburrrrrculosis), but still, after months of failure, I can finally make the sound! Now, it just needs refinement in order to stick the sound in words and not sound like I'm about to spit in someones face.
Although, it is somewhat typical. I finally get the rolling sound the day before I go back to England for the summer. At least, in Setember, I can come back (hopefully, with rolling R's perfected) and not sound quite so retarded when speaking to Italians.

I've been flipping through some old issues cause I've got time on my hands and no new copies arrive yet.
Here are scans of the back-up story "X-Date 3" which I adore:

Well, that was sweet of the Man-Thing to keep Scott and Jean from knowing the Dark Phoenix, though maybe they would be able to avoid it had they known about it in advance.

Dear Brain,
Mike from Psmith & Mike is absolutely not going to use expletives. No really, he's not. So stop presenting me with scenes of crazy!angry!Mike swearing like a sailor and concentrate on something useful. Like, I don't know, a plot.
Yours in exasperation,
Me

Taken my last exam of the year. Woot! And for a microeconomics exam it went reasonably well too. Double woot!
Now I just have to twiddle my thumbs in a fast emptying domitory for a week before flying home for the summer on Saturday. Drink, anyone?

There are times and places where the tangy scent of sweat can be sexy as hell.
However, crampt on a hot, stuffy one hour bus journey from the airport is certainly not one of these occassions. Alas, the demand for deodrant is rather low in Italia.
