Basic Info
Bio
I'm Glastea (Glassy for short), a fanfic writer and occasional amateur film actor who's likely to be younger than you. I live 'across the pond' in England (though my location whilst writing my journal is normally on the computer chair or next to the radiator), and am currently juggling my scribbling antics with a chock load of exams. Hence, updates that are promised 'in the next week' often turn up over two months later. I apologise profusely for this, but it's inevitable. I must learn to stop promising things I can't produce.

I happen to be one of those people who has one or two main fandoms, but will dabble in others if they feel like it. My main fandom at the minute (and will probably remain so for some time) is X-Men Movie!Verse, as I seem to have accumulated a fondness for Cyclops that won't disappear. I also turn up in Grim Fandango fanfic, a beautiful adventure game by LucasArts that has such great characters and subplots, well, who can't resist? Other than that, I've travelled into Harry Potter with the Marauders writing detention essays, Yu-Gi-Oh! with my first ever (I'd hazard to say hideous) fic, and various other bits and bobs.

If you want to give my work a try: (it's not that bad, honest), you'll find me on FF.net, as that's where it is at the minute. Sooner or later I'll get my own website, but it's not applicable at the moment. If you want to message me, go on; I'd love to hear from you, and I don't care about random friending (that being if anyone reads this in the first place, which I find unlikely.)

Otherwise, I am a great baker of delicious cake and biscuits, and a great fan of handicrafts, though attempts to learn to knit have so far been unfounded - no one likes teaching a leftie. I also enjoy British comedy and good stand up: Greg Proops, Ross Noble, Ed Byrne and Dylan Moran being some of my favourite comedians. I adore musical theatre and Scouting; I was a participant on the centenary Jamboree. I also enjoy bawwwwwing about the inane parts of my boring teenage life on my LJ, as I have nothing better to do. I profusely apologise, again, which is something else I ought to stop doing. I remain essentially English, drink too much tea and maintain the vernacular of someone who lived long before me. It's testament to my love of the classics, I suppose. Don't get me started on Twilight and that series, as it is (imho) a load of tosh. I would like to direct readers of aforementioned series to Dracula, by Bram Stoker, the definitive book in the vampire genre - much better than the toilet paper they're claiming to be good literature.

Ahem. I'll stop ranting.
