Ach. Christmas holidays spent doing maths revision =/= no fanfic finished at all. Diddly squat. I've got
jackks bugging me to handle a Grim Fandango plot bunny, but I'm getting guilt trips because I started HSE over a year ago and I still haven't finished the bloody thing yet (nowhere near ending it, either, which could be a cause for celebration or a hearty groan, depending on your viewpoint).

Well, it's been done. I've posted up my
summers_fling assignment, and have finally got that over with. Yay! Now, onto the GF plot bunny I'm harbouring, my X-Men WIP, and all sorts of other rubbish.
I also adored the outcome of my assignment. Yay,
ridesandruns, I could proclaim my love now, but I'd sound like a squeeing fangirl! Oh dear.
Come to think of it... here's the final product of three days of on the spot writing in the dressing room.

Just had a revelation. Woohoo!
I'm not writing for two reasons: one, I happen to have no MS Word on this PC, and am fully aware that, in Notepad, which I love with my heart and soul, I make terrible spelling mistakes and fail to notice them, only causing embarrassment later if I read it aloud to check the flow (yes, I do that. So shoot me: not like I'm writing smut or anything, as I would be dead of someone found it.)
Two: blatant laziness, plus the website I'm in the realms of coding to get my writing put somewhere other than the Pit. I seem to find reasons to get out of story telling.
Plus, Ouran X-over has sprouted into multichap with slash pairing. Crap.
I believe I shall get my sorry ass off the net and scribble: do myself some good. Or homework... no, writing. Had a good idea for HSE #2 anyways.

Okies; am ashamed, as my so-called writing journal has contained very little writing in the last two weeks or so, and has fact become a way to stop me from writing. Dammit.
Lockjaw: halfway through. Trying valiantly to make the dialogue sound less like a clunky OOC way to get to the end of the fic. Quick. (Ha ha; rhyming, eh?) Last chapter, happens to be a good wrap up with 3 hours of chat with Scorpicus to tie all the loose ends up: why can't I do this? Ooh-- don't tell me this is writer's block.
Hope Springs Eternal: will take a lot more research, as Dave and his extensive archive of X-Men comic-verse has failed me on the Apocalypse front. Have to tie up loose ends with X3 too; why did I get myself into this? Must do a wonderfully comprehensive plan before I even try to get anywhere.
Meanwhile, Keiro and I are having a kind-of joint crossover: Ouran High School Host Club, plus Kaiba himself. Ohyes. Have done very little of that, too, to tell the truth. Might put out an offer for anyone else to join us, if they want.
Right, I'm going to bugger off upstairs now, and not come down until I've finished that Lockjaw chapter. God knows, I'm not going to leave it. I normally do so well with updates at reasonable intervals.

Have just returned from great-aunt's house. She only lives about an hour away, but, boy, am I happy to be home.
I'm also happy to have my bed back: as I'm the one who has to sleep on a camp bed when we're there. Have so far determined that I'm sleeping on the floor next time we go, as I'm completely wiped out (I don't sleep well anyway, let alone with a spring in my back), and I don't think my spine will ever be the same again. Not amused at all, really, beside the random Blackadder quoting (ohyes for BA marathons!).
Meanwhile, to actually say something about fanfiction, I'm immersed in Lockjaw chapter 5 at the minute: struggling horribly with dialogue, so when that'll be complete I don't know. Meanwhile, have been working my fingers off on the X-Men front, have had great fun, and come out with some good starting points.
As the fic 5/6 people have asked updates for (it's a oneshot, silly), am still working on a plot line. Should involve Apocalypse in some capacity, I believe, but we're getting there.
Happy New Year, guys

But I didn't. Dammit. I'm a write-a-holic.
I'd been working on this piece for about two weeks now (compared to yesterday's offering, which was written in six hours and thought up at one o'clock that afternoon), and it's a nice piece of fluff. It's called Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present, but that's a bit of a misnomer really, seeing as it has nothing to do with ghosts. In fact, it's Jean kind of teaching Scott how to be a child again, and could be said to be like that awful Lizzie McGuire episode I was once forced to watch.
Oh dear. On yesterday's offering, people seem to think it's leading onto better things. What the hell am I meant to do now? Christ, it was meant to be a one-shot. I now need to either be proud that people want me to expand on it, or go and cry in a corner as I grasp for plot- in vain, I might add. I don't know what I'm going to do with it; what do they want me to do? Slash?
Oh, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I need to think this out, but no way in hell am I starting today. I still have to finish that Lockjaw chapter, dammit!
Merry Christmas, everyone.

And I said that I'd take a break from X-Men. How wrong I was. Had an idea this morning that took priority over everything else, and so, I wrote it. Dearie me. It must be because it's Christmas Eve tomorrow, but it's uploaded onto FF.net too.
And, god forbid (surprisingly for me), I've got Logan being a reasonably nice guy in it. I normally put him on a sugar high or do something stupid to him. *Headdesk* Ooh, and a new one for me, it's post X3. Bet you never saw that coming.
Well, linky-link link is here!
It's only a one shot, but I'm still battling to get Lola in character for my Grim Fandango fic too, and I'm trying to finish it before the end of this year, so that kind of took some preference. Damn it, easily distracted brain...

Well, I've finally finished the M'n'Ms project. Wh00t for that: thought I'd never get around to it. Everyone's back in character (thereabouts), yay! the URL's here!
I've had another idea for a multi-chap fic, but I really do need any information I can get on Apocalyse (more precisely, the 12), because I haven't managed to nit-pick Dave on the subject yet. All help highly appreciated, from URLs to.. well... anything. A lot of background research will be required, but I've also got my Grim Fandango fic to complete, and plenty of other things on paper to upload, etc. etc., so it'll take some time, knowing me.
Had a horrible thought the other day: of all the fandoms I choose to write, the main one I choose requires plenty of research because I've only seen 1 X-Men comic in my life, and it was in Norwegian, it's set in America, and I'm English, and I always seem to dig myself into holes while writing, never mind term dates and lessons having completely different names. Plus, I'm not particularly keen on the thereabouts main character. What the hell am I doing? I must be insane. Ah well, I'm enjoying every minute of it.
I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a happy New year:
